Frequently Asked Questions.

Will I feel the balls when they are inserted?

You shouldn’t feel the balls when inserted properly. You might feel the vibrations of the weighted balls when you run or climb stairs,

Can I use the balls even if I am a virgin?

Only if you suffer with incontinence (i.e. involuntary release of urine). Otherwise just perform regular kegel exercises and only start using the balls after you have started having sexual intercourse as there is a risk of the hymen tearing as the balls are inserted.

How soon after childbirth can I start wearing the balls?

Whenever you feel you are ready.

Can I wear the balls during my period?

This is up to you. If you are comfortable then there is no reason you can’t. Be aware that it could get quite messy.

Can I wear them whilst pregnant?

Again this is a personal choice. I wouldn’t, but there is no reason why you can’t.

What happens when I go to urinate?

Because the muscles being worked out are the same ones that control urine flow, you might find urine flow slower as the muscles contract to hold the balls in and at the same time try to relax to release urine. To reduce this effect always urinate when you feel the urge. The longer you hold your urine for the slower it will flow and you might experience a burning sensation. If this happens, don’t panic, gently pull the balls out and the urine will flow normally then reinsert them after cleaning or store away in the pouch provided.

What happens when I cough, sneeze or laugh?

If you sneeze, cough or laugh one of the balls might pop out slightly but will not fall out. It will make you a little uncomfortable and self-aware. If this happen just go somewhere discreet and push them back in.

What should the balls look like just after being removed?

It is normal for them to be covered in some discharge. The amount will vary depending on where you are in your cycle. It generally tends to increase as you get closer to your period making it easier for the balls to slide out and thus making you have to actively contract the muscles to keep them in. The discharge should be odourless. If it has an unpleasant smell it suggests and infection such as bacterial vaginosis caused by pH imbalance in the vagina.

Can I wear the balls during sex?

Again this is a personal choice.

How long before I see results?

This depends how often you wear the balls, how long you wear them for daily and whether you do active contractions whilst wearing the balls. You should wear the balls daily for as long as comfortable and perform active contractions whilst wearing them for quicker and optimum results.
