Health Benefits Of Avocado.



So theres been a lot of talk about avocado. Some are evn calling it a super food and after doing some research I am inclined to agree. Below are some of the health benefits of avocado:

·       Aids digestion - The nutrients and enzymes contained in it can help redude inflammation in the stomach and the lining of the small intestine.


·       Lowers cholesterol – A compound called betasitosterol in avocado has been found effective in lowering bad cholesterol (LDL) and increasing good cholesterol (HDL).


·       Improves cardiovascular health  - Avocado is rich in vitamin B6 and folic acid which help regulate the homocysteine levels and thus lowering the risk of heart disease.



·       Improves and maintains brain health – It is one of the super brain foods that has been found to help prevent Alzheimer’s diease

·       Prevents cancer -  Recents studies carried out indicate that regualr comsumption of avocado could reduces the risk of prostate cancer and breast cancer.
